Unni Mukundan has seen a steep raise in his stardom, right after his debut in “Bombay March 12”. The actor even has acted in a movie along with veterans in the industry like Kunchchakko Boban, Biju Menon, Manoj K Jayan with playing the title character in “Mallu Singh”. With a bag full of promising movies, like “D - Company”, “Samrajyam – 2, son of Alexander”, is all set to gear up to the next level. Another interesting movie in his kitty is M Padmakumar’s “Orissa”. The duo who earlier worked in the movie “Pathiramanal” has this time selected a story that is not heard in Malayalam. Like the title suggests, movie will be entirely shot in “Orissa”.

The actor will be seen sharing screen space with former child artist Sainika Nambiar. The actress was earlier seen in the movie “Olympian Anthony Adam” along with superstar Mohanlal. In the movie, she will act the role of an Oriyan girl, who eventually fell in love with a Malayaly Police officer played by Unni Mukundan. Since both don’t know each other’s languages, how their life will progress happens to be the core of the movie. Nedumudi Venu, Kaniha handles other pivotal roles.

Chattikkal Madhavan produces the movie under the banner of “Heera FIlms”.

“Orissa” from the acclaimed director M Padmakumar tells the tale of an unusual love story which happens between a Malayaly Police officer and a girl from Orissa. What happens to the relation between two people when there is no common language exists is the rest of the plot. Young sensation Unni Mukundan is the hero of the movie, while Sainika Nambiar who has acted as a child artist in Mohanlal starred “Olympian Anthony Adam” will pair with him. Kaniha, Nedumudi Venu are the other actors associating with the movie.

Under the banner of “Heera Films”, Chattikkal Madhavan is the producer of “Orissa”. The story of the movie is written by G S Anil, who has earlier associated with the director in the anthology movie “D Company”.
